Grand Eska Hotel & Suites Batam - Nagoya

We struggled to hail a cab to get to Nagoya shopping mall, but at least the hotel is located near a shopping centre and a Sundanese Restaurant. the rooms were spacious, but the bathroom was troublesome to use, especially with the faulty water heater and lack of hot water, just like one of the previous review shared. Though, the breakfast was average, the friendly staff made up for it with their exceptional service. One plus, was the cozy and beautiful pool area.

Sadly, we had unwanted encounters with pushy and aggressive taxi drivers when trying to explore the area outside of the hotel.

I thought it was a four star hotel. However, the facility in the room is not so good. The door is difficult to open. The facility in the bath room is quite poor. The staff in the hotel in excellent, this is maybe the only thing make me happy. There are gym facility in the hotel, however, there is no air condition in the gym room.

If you book the hotel, try to take boat from harbor bay. Batam central ferry terminal is quite far from the hotel.

I recommend you to eat at kk sky view restaurant, that is set 700 feet away. I enjoyed my stay here and would book again;))

The location of the hotel is convenient, close to popular shopping centers and ferry terminals. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, always ready to assist us. We also had a great view from our room, and the amenities offered in the room, such as complimentary water, coffee and tea, were appreciated.

The hotel could use some upkeep, as the gym equipment was not in order and the pool water looked a bit murky. The elevators were quite slow, which made getting around the hotel frustrating at times.

Staff were helpful

The room was directly above the night club and the bass went until 3:30am keeping me awake. It was unpleasant. Towels and sheets are stained location on map did not match where it actually was

We loved this hotel's spacious room with a beautiful view. The bed was also very comfortable, and we got complimentary water, coffee, and tea. The location was another plus, with easy access to transportation, and we appreciated the hotel's transport service to different places in this city, including Nagoya shopping mall. The hotel staff was excellent and very accommodating.

It's my first time trip to Batam with my family from Singapore, I paid 340sgd for 2 nights in 2 bedroom apartment. When we check in the staffs were friendly, we were given a room next to a renovation works which is loud and stressful. The room that we were given was full of dust due to the work next door, so we requested to changed. We moved to 2 storey up. The room that we stayed was nice but a service apartment should have bowls, frying pan and wok.. There's none. The air-conditioned in my room was partly working. Swimming pool was far from the hotel, and the price for it is way beyond expensive. After this trip I will never come to Batam again. Fairly location was near to Harbourbay Ferry Terminal.

Breakfast was good and staffs were friendly

The kitchen smells funny air con remotes batteries were dying. No remote for tv in one of the rooms and no bar to make coffee

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their faces. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and provided excellent service. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with good air conditioning and a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff ensured that everything was always topped up. Throughout my stay, I was greeted warmly by the staff wherever I went. I really appreciated their professionalism and hard work.

Not that clean. The hotel was a four stars hotel, but the cleaning was just a two.

I went to Batam with 11 adults and 3 children and booked 3 2-room apartments. I liked that although there were other guests in the hotel, however every room has their own privacy. My apartment was comfortable and quiet as was near to the swimming pool. My sister's apartment, who she was sharing with her family, had a great view on the 4th storey and felt very comfortable. There was even a kitchen and we were even able to boil water or made some hot noodles with some request from the housekeeping for a pot. The reviews were not true. Initially I was afraid that the apartment will be run down, in fact there were clean. Even the swimming pool was clean as the staff would clean it every morning, and not many guest were around. We really had our own privacy. Although it was a bit further to the city area as it was placed on top of the hill, it was still within walking distance. We rented a driver and it was quite near to the ferry terminal via vehicle. We enjoyed our stay there.

Celebrating New Year's at this hotel was an unforgettable experience! the staff was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. the location was convenient, with plenty of nearby restaurants and shopping. I loved the fact that the hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service to an entertainment center, where I could enjoy a variety of activities. Plus, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities.
